I guess this is where I am suppose to talk about myself..

I came into the photography world a little bit different than most I would assume. I believe our past experiences, and  histories define who we are so I wanted to share with you a bit of who I am and how photography has become a passion of mine.

Out of high school, I entered into the Marine Corps where I served honorably for five years. Toward the end of my military career, I was stationed in Quantico, VA- where I was afforded the opportunity to conduct joint training operations with FBI agents. I became really interested in the criminal justice world, specifically the FBI. Long story short, I knew I was going to the FBI one day.

After leaving the Marines, I went back to my hometown, Tampa, Florida, where I earned my degree in Criminal Justice and joined a large law enforcement agency. I served in Law Enforcement for about ten years. During this time, I was unexpectedly subjected to an unfortunate training incident which left me medically disabled and unable to continue my Law Enforcement career. Being a Marine and a Police Officer was all I really knew, so this early unexpected retirement left me at a crossroads in my life. What do I do now?

Having more time on my hands, I found myself out on the water and instantly, I became infatuated with not only catching fish but learning the process.  There are so many intricacies that each fisherman takes to prepare for the day in order to bring fish on the boat. To capture these moments, I started with a GoPro and a drone- after coming home and viewing the footage is where my passion for photography all started.  Within days I purchased my first camera and started to capture the fast pace, exciting moments. I became so intrigued with capturing video and photographs out on the water. Fishing, for me, became more than just catching fish, it is now about capturing life’s moments out on or near the water.

Although I didn’t start my career as a photographer and videographer, I naturally fell in love with visual story telling.  Based on background, I believe I bring a strong dedication and tenacity to go just about anywhere to capture the perfect shot. We all have a unique story to tell, and I am committed to making that happen- whether it means working long extended hours, waking up early, or trudging through rugged terrain.

If you’re looking to make your story come alive authentically, let’s talk!
